Beautiful
Hanalei Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole of Kauai. Not only can you see the beautiful mountains from the shore, but the waters are crystal clear. When you go swimming, you can see all the way to the bottom, watching the small fishes swim underneath you. The sand is white and warm, cozy on your feet and comfortable for the whole family. And the half-moon shape of the beach gives a wide-open feeling to its visitors, allowing them to see for what seems like miles. With all of this beauty in one place, it’s hard to even leave, which is why I truly believe that you’ll love this beautiful Kauai vacation spot.
Your Best Option
If you want to visit Hanalei Bay, your best option is to stay nearby. While there are several hotels and rental places in the area where you can visit, I would recommend one of the Hanalei Bay Resort condos, especially since they are afforded the same amenities as the resort guests from pool access to restaurant services. One of the best condos at the resort is Hanalei Bay Resort rental 6302, since it has a great kitchen, a good-sized bedroom, and a cozy living space. While there are several condos that you can choose from in this area, I do prefer 6302. It has a nice view as well, and there are many different fun locations in the Princeville area to explore when you feel like going out.
The World’s Best Beaches
Back in 2009, there was a popular list circulated of the United State’s best beaches. This list was put together by Dr. Beach, also known as Stephen P. Leatherman, the director of Florida International University’s Laboratory for Coastal Research. Among the beaches mention in this list are Coronado Beach in San Diego, Coopers Beach in Southampton, and Hamoa Beach in Maui. However, the number one beach in the United States is Hanalei Bay on Kauai. This beach was chosen based upon several different criteria, from water quality and temperature to cleanliness and safety. So when you think of visiting one vacation destination this year, consider the best beach in America: Hanalei Bay.
When Surfers Die
One of our greatest surfers has died this week. Andy Irons’ ashes were released into Hanalei Bay in Kauai Sunday, November 14, 2010. There was a big ceremony and several famous surfers and celebrities were in attendance. Of course, there were hundreds present, many of them natives, people who admired the man and were sorry to see him gone. While there has been no word as of yet about the reasons for Irons’ death, we do know that he will be sincerely missed. There are few truly great surfers in the world, and I personally consider Irons to be one of them.
Inexpensive Vacation Rentals
In this world, finding inexpensive vacation locations in a place you might actually want to visit is a difficult proposition. Most hotels are extremely expensive per night, especially in places where people go to vacation like Disneyland and Hawaii. However, there are options. There are Hanalei Bay Resort vacation rentals that run much cheaper than hotel rooms. Plus, these rental condos give the renter much more freedom than a hotel room. With full kitchens and living spaces, a tourist can live in a home away from home, with their own privacy and accommodations for cooking and preparing for the day. So you get an entire condo to yourself for less than it costs to rent a small room with a bed for a day. Isn’t that a great thought?
